Glossary
The status, mechanic and stat keywords used throughout hero, relic and item text. A v1 reference — expanded as more of the simulation is documented.
Statuses
- Burn
- A stacking damage-over-time debuff applied to enemies. — used by Vanguard, Mage
- Frost
- A stacking debuff applied to enemies. — used by Tank, Mage
- Poison
- A stacking damage-over-time debuff applied to enemies. — used by Tank, Assassin
- Stun
- Prevents the affected enemy from acting for a duration.
Mechanics
- Backup
- The effect also works while the hero is in reserve.
- Debuff
- A negative status applied to enemies (Burn / Poison / Frost / etc.). — used by Duelist, Mystic
- Heal
- Restores a hero's current HP.
- Lasting
- The effect persists rather than expiring at end of turn/tick.
- Reserve
- The hero is on the bench, not on the active board.
- Rush
- A hero ability-timing mechanic that triggers faster/earlier. — used by Warrior, Vanguard, Assassin, Duelist
- Shield
- Temporary hit points that absorb incoming damage before HP. — used by Warrior, Vanguard, Mystic
- Shields
- Temporary hit points that absorb incoming damage before HP.
- Stall
- A hero ability-timing mechanic that builds toward a trigger. — used by Tank, Duelist, Mystic, Mage
- Stealth
- The hero avoids being targeted by enemies. — used by Assassin
- Taunt
- Forces enemies to target this hero.
Stats
- Crit
- Critical strike — a chance to deal increased damage. — used by Warrior, Assassin, Duelist

- Shard
- The in-run currency spent in shops and events. — used by Assassin, Duelist, Mystic
